Ludhiana: CT University’s performing arts students scripted and presented a nukkad natak based on crime against women. The play highlighted the issues of female foeticide, acid attack, domestic violence, rape, molestation and harassment. Giving a tribute to the young veterinarian doctor of Hyderabad, who was raped and burnt alive, students and faculty also gathered for a candle march and presented posters displaying quotes painted by students. Udhaydeep Singh, a second year student of BCA (Honours), presented an emotional note stating “Every religion holds the belief that women must be respected as they are the ones who run society.
