Tributes paid to Hyderabad rape victim

Ludhiana: CT University’s performing arts students scripted and presented a nukkad natak based on crime against women. The play highlighted the issues of female foeticide, acid attack, domestic violence, rape, molestation and harassment. Giving a tribute to the young veterinarian doctor of Hyderabad, who was raped and burnt alive, students and faculty also gathered for a candle march and presented posters displaying quotes painted by students. Udhaydeep Singh, a second year student of BCA (Honours), presented an emotional note stating “Every religion holds the belief that women must be respected as they are the ones who run society.  

SCDG College prof given send-off

The Higher Education Institute Society (HEIS) of SCD Government College organised a farewell party for Dr Harbans Singh, associate professor and head, Department of Geography.
