New Delhi, June 28

Member, Health, NITI Aayog, Dr Vinod Kumar Paul on Monday said the application of Bharat Biotech for emergency use listing of the World Health Organisation was proceeding very well.

The chairman of the National Expert Group on Covid Vaccine Administration did not indicate any immediate change in the dosage interval between Covishield shots, saying the decision had been taken based on “robust scientific evidence”. On the WHO approval for Covaxin, Paul said, “The process is under way and is progressing very well. Additional documents have been submitted by Bharat Biotech last week. We would like to see an expedited review of the submitted data and also hope that the WHO decision regarding emergency use listing of the vaccine will come very soon.”— TNS
