The Channi government is looking to induct at least five fresh faces in the new Cabinet. Those in the running include MLAs Amrinder Raja Warring, Gurkirat Kotli, Madan Lal Jalalpur and Dr Raj Kumar Verka. Two former women ministers Razia Sultana and Aruna Chaudhary are also among the probables. PCC chief Navjot Sidhu is reportedly keen on getting Ghanaur MLA Jalalpur into the Cabinet.

Meanwhile, in the presence of Rahul Gandhi and state affairs incharge Harish Rawat, senior OBC party leader and PCC working president Sangat Singh Gilzian raised the issue of non-representation of OBC MLAs in Cabinet. MLAs from the OBC community were eyeing one of the Deputy CM posts, which have gone to a Hindu and Jat face.
