Chandigarh, May 25
All domestic travellers entering Punjab from other states by plane, train or road, and found asymptomatic or negative will have to remain under home quarantine for 14 days. Earlier, institutional quarantine was mandatory for all domestic travellers.
However, all international travellers will be sent for institutional quarantine for at least seven days.
As per the new guidelines issued by the Punjab Government, all international travellers arriving to the state by air, sea or land will submit a self-declaration form containing their personal and health details. Those found to be symptomatic during the screening shall be taken to a health facility for testing. If they are found positive, they would be kept in Covid care centres.
Asymptomatic passengers and those found negative will be taken into institutional quarantine. They will be tested on the fifth day. If they test positive, they shall be shifted to a government isolation facility. — TNS
