Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa: Bikram Majithia's case will reach logical conclusion

Rubbishes political vendetta charge

Tribune News Service

Amritsar, January 25

Despite the Punjab and Haryana High Court giving a three-day protection against arrest to SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla and state Home Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhwa today welcomed the HC move rejecting his interim bail in a drugs case.

Addressing mediapersons, they said the government had faith in the judiciary and that the case would reach its logical conclusion. Snubbing Majithia for challenging the government following a temporary relief from the court recently, Randhawa said: “It was wrong to term the government’s action against Majithia out of political vendetta. His anticipatory bail plea was rejected only on the basis of merit,” he said. —
