St Vivekanand Millennium School, HMT Township, Pinjore, organises week-long NSS camp


The school organised a week-long NSS camp. The camp was inaugurated by District NSS Coordinator Dr Arvind Diwedi. In these seven days, the volunteers underwent a meditation session, yoga session and fitness session, followed by various workshops like road safety rules, personality development, and self-grooming. Volunteers were also made aware of the different career options, followed by a SWOT analysis of each one of them. They showcased their creativity by making posters on different themes. The volunteers also went for blanket distribution in the slum area of Surajpur after which they were taken to an old-age home in Sector 15, Panchkula, where they interacted with old people. The volunteers also went to Shalimar Ground in Sector 5, Panchkula, for a Walkathon. The chief guest of the day was Speaker of the Haryana Assembly Gian Chand Gupta. A basic first-aid training session was held by Neelam Kaushik and Ramesh Chaudhary. The camp ended with a valedictory function where the NSS song was sung. Volunteers presented the report of the camp and shared their experience of the seven-day camp, followed by an energetic and vibrant cultural dance.
