Heavy rain alert issued

Dehradun, July 23 

The MeT Department on Monday issued a heavy rain alert in the state this week.

Following this, the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management issued an advisory to all district magistrates (DMs) to remain on high alert.

The state is likely to receive heavy showers on July 25 to 27.

The State Disaster Management has also asked the DMs to ensure a high level of precaution, safety and traffic are maintained.  

The IMD has appealed the people to be cautious while taking mountain roads. ANI
