Islamabad: Pakistan’s Supreme Court has ordered the Karachi administration to stop the demolition of a Hindu dharamshala and leasing out the heritage property here. Dr Ramesh Kumar, a co-opted member of a commission on minorities, stated the Evacuee Trust Property Board leased out the property to a private person, who was demolishing the dharamshala to construct a commercial plaza. 10-yr-old US boy drowns after saving sister
Hudson: A 10-year-old boy who died in the Big Sioux River saved one of his younger siblings who had fallen into the water. The body of Ricky Lee Sneve was recovered on Saturday, Lincoln County sheriff’s officials said. Ricky jumped in to save his sister and got her to shore, but when his father and siblings turned around, Ricky was missing. AP
NZ to apologise for raids on Pacific community
WELLINGTON: New Zealand is to apologise to the Pacific community which felt “targeted and terrorised” during police raids searching for overstayers in the 1970s, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Monday. The so-called “Dawn Raids” were carried out between 1974 and 1976. Reuters
