Punjabi varsity VC bestowed with Paul H Appleby Award

PATIALA:The Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, has conferred the prestigious Paul H Appleby Award upon Prof BS Ghuman, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala, for his distinguished contribution to the theory and practice of public administration and services to IIPA.

Patiala, October 19

The Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, has conferred the prestigious Paul H Appleby Award upon Prof BS Ghuman, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala, for his distinguished contribution to the theory and practice of public administration and services to IIPA. 

The award was bestowed upon by the Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu. He has discharged his services in the field of education administration in various capacities, including Vice-Chancellor of Punjabi University, Senator of Panjab University and GNDU, Amritsar; Syndicate of PU besides being an expert member of various committees of the UGC.

 He has been instrumental in promoting collaborations of PU and Punjabi University with various foreign universities. “As the VC of Punjabi University my aim is to ensure quality-centric teaching and research as well as making higher education equitable and relevant to society and the market,” he said. — TNS
