Una, January 10

The Una police have booked a local resident, Prince Makkar, for morphing the photo of BJP MP from Hamirpur Anurag Thakur on Facebook.

Two days ago, Thakur posted a photo on his Facebook account wearing a pullover with slogan ‘Namo Again’ printed on it. The photo was re-tweeted by PM Narendra Modi saying ‘Looking Good’.

The accused morphed the photo and changed the slogan on the BJP MP’s pullover from ‘Namo Again’ to ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’.

Una SP Divakar Sharma said he received the complaint regarding morphing of Anurag Thakur’s photo yesterday from one Madan Puri, following which a case under section 67 of the IT Act has been registered against the accused, who is yet to be arrested. — TNS
