‘ Would never change myself’

You are considered as a multi-talented personality. Explain

I have been a model, radio jockey and theatre artist. I am also a classical singer and know how to play guitar. But out of all these things, acting is my favourite. I enjoy doing comedy and also did a triple role in comedy show Shankar Jai Kishan - 3 in 1.

How did you bag the role in Apna News Aayega?

My experience on television helped me to bag this comedy show. My potential to play different characters and familiarity with the genre of spoofs and comedy was recognized by Optimystix Entertainment. 

What is special about this show?

The concept of Apna News Aayega is international, like Saturday Night Live, where they have spoofs on topical issues. The content of the show is very socio-topical, related to Bollywood and resembles the framework of news show but with a comical twist.

What do you think about the Tellywood industry?

I think television industry is amazing. Once you are into it, you can never leave it.

What would you change about yourself if you get a chance?

I would never change myself to suit someone else.

What will be your call if something interesting is offered to you in Bollywood?

It depends on the situation but I would love to do films with good content.

Anything in particular that you are obsessed about?

I am obsessed with cleanliness. 

How do you manage to stay fit while on the sets?

I do a lot of free-hand exercises like push-ups when free on the sets.

How has been the shooting experience so far?

Shooting is hectic but it is never monotonous and there’s no room for the audience to stereotype the artist with the character he plays.
