Former J-K DGP Ashok Prasad tipped to be MHA adviser

New Delhi: Ashok Prasad, a 1979-batch retired IPS officer, who had held key positions of Jammu & Kashmir DGP and Special Secretary Internal Security (SSIS), is understood to have been roped in by the government as adviser to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Prasad was a recipient of Police Medal in 1999 and President's Police Medal for distinguished service in 2006. tns
