A Noble Vow Fulfilled

IT is gratifying to learn that Shrimati Pandita Lajjawati, honorary Vice-Principal of that excellent institution for the education of girls, the Kanya Mahavidyalya, Jullundur, has returned to the Vidyalya after fulfillment of her noble vow to collect Rs fifty thousand for the institution. She is one of those alumni of the Vidyalya of whom the latter has every reason to feel proud. She has dedicated her life to the cause of female education and of the Vidyalya and has been working as Vice-Principal on subsistence of the most self-denying character, and the collection of half a lakh for the institution by touring in the country and delivering eloquent lectures and appealing for much-needed funds for the institution has added another silken bond to the existing ties which bind her to her alma mater.
