The Sacred Souls School, situated in the tranquil ambiance of Gharuan, celebrated the 15th edition of their foundation day with jubilation and gaiety at Tagore Theatre here on Thursday. The students dedicated the cultural programme to the cherished memory of their revered founder Sehajpal Singh.
The school management welcomed the chief guest, Lt Gen Kamal Jit Singh, PVSM, AVSM. Gurpal Singh Bhatti, Director, also graced the function which commenced with a choral school hymn ‘My Dios’, which was followed by an address by Principal Manbir Brar. The Principal highlighted the achievements of the school in the previous session.
After a rendition of ‘The prayer’ by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, the student artistes presented a play on Agatha Christie and a theatrical production by Gurinderjit Singh. The chief guest awarded prizes to the meritorious students in various sports categories i.e. cricket, soccer, basketball and athletics and for academic achievements. The Avneet Kaur House Cup went to Humble House. Thereafter, Lt Gen KJ Singh inspired students with a motivational speech.
