28-year-old man killed in Verka road mishap

AMRITSAR: A 28-year-old man died in a road accident at Verka here yesterday.

A 28-year-old man died in a road accident at Verka here yesterday. The deceased has been identifed as Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Verka.

In his complaint to the Verka police, Bir Singh stated that his son Gurpreet worked as a security guard.

At around 7.20 am, he left for work on his scooter. Near Mudhal village, a “rashly driven” autorickshaw came from wrong side and hit his scooter. Gurpreet sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him dead. ASI Sawinder Singh, in charge of the Mudhal police post, said, We have registered a case under Sections 304-A and 427 of the IPC.

Hit by autorickshaw

Deceased Gurpreet Singh, who worked as a security guard, was hit by a “rashly driven” autorickshaw that came from wrong side near Mudhal village. He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
