Chrysanthemum Show will begin from Friday at the Terraced Garden in Sector 33 here. The three-day show is hosted by the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation.

A day before the event, results of flower competitions were declared. Sanjay Thareja, a resident of Sector 20, Panchkula, won in the King of the Show, Queen of the Show and Prince of the Show categories.

Virinder Sharma, a resident of Sector 8, Panchkula, was the winner in the Best Flower of the Show and Princess of the Show categories.

During the festival, a total of 280 flower varieties will be on display for the public. Snowball, Hiatus, Autumn Blaze and Korean are among different category of flowers that will attract the visitors. A budget of Rs 11.19 lakh has been sanctioned for the event.

Two new flower categories have been added this time. These will be disclosed and displayed on the day of the fest only.

Results of flower competitions
