AMBALA: A woman in her 20s allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in the Nahan House area here this evening.

A woman in her 20s allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in the Nahan House area here this evening. The deceased has been identified as Sonal.

Her mother-in-law was sleeping in another room while her husband was out of the house. The family members came to know about the incident after her mother-in-law found the room locked from inside and Sonal did not respond to her calls. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. She had got married nearly one and a half years ago and had no child.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old woman was found dead at her rented room in Milap Nagar here today.

The deceased has been identified as Suman. She was found dead on her bed reportedly by the owner of the house. The deceased was a divorcee. She was not keeping well and was undergoing treatment. Blood was seen oozing out of her nose. Police officials and forensic expert visited the spot.

Forensic expert GR Jain said the exact reason behind the death was not clear yet. We have advised the police to get the postmortem done from a board of doctors on Tuesday and send a sample of the viscera for investigation.
