Yogeshwar meets CM, may join BJP

New Delhi: Olympic bronze medallist wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt  has met Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, giving rise to speculations that he might join the saffron party. State Congress VP enters saffron fold  

Chandigarh: Senior Congress leader and former Kurukshetra MP Kailasho Saini joined the BJP in the presence of party president Subhash Barala in New Delhi on Wednesday. Saini, who has been a two-time INLD MP from Kurukshetra in 1998 and 1999, was currently vice-president of the Haryana Congress. She is an influential Saini leader in Kurukshetra district. TNS

In F’bad, 216 POs held in 10 days 

Faridabad: The police have arrested 216 Proclaimed Offenders (PO) in the district in a special pre-election drive launched to ensure free and fair Assembly poll. They have warned of action against licensed weapon holders, who fail to deposit their arms within two days (September 27). The drive was launched 10 days ago. TNS
