Blood donation camp held


A total of 55 units of blood were collected at the blood donation camp organised at the college by the NSS units, Blood Donation Society and Red Ribbon Club of the college.

Skill development course launched

The Centre for Human Rights and Duties collaborated with Treeside India to organise a value-added and skill development course on ‘Human Rights Advocacy in Practice: Unleashing Your Voice for Change’. The NEP Coordinator at Panjab University, Anil Monga, spoke about how NEP would revolutionise the educational system by providing students with an ecosystem.

Two-day national seminar ends

Researchers from across the country presented papers in a parallel technical session on the second day of the two-day national seminar on ‘Contemporary Economic Issues of North-Western India’. The seminar was organised by the Department of Economics and featured a panel discussion chaired by Prof RS Ghuman, Professor of Eminence at GNDU, Amritsar and insights from Dr Lakhwinder Singh, Prof Aparna Negi, and Dr Dipanker Sengupta, University of Jammu.

Lecture on Sri Aurobindo organised

The Department of Philosophy organised a lecture by Prof Sachidananda Mohanty on ‘Sri Aurobindo and the Problem of the Mahabharata’. This event was part of a series of lectures delivered by Prof Mohanty, who currently holds the Sri Aurobindo Chair at Panjab University.

Matribhasha Diwas celebrated

A declamation and poetry recitation competition was organised by the Sanskrit Department at the Panjab University to celebrate the International Matribhasha Diwas on campus on Wednesday.

International Conference begins

The 6th International Conference on Nutraceuticals and Chronic Diseases is being organised at Panjab University from February 21 to 24. On the opening day of the conference, Prof Sanjay Jachak from NIPER, Mohali, spoke about the ‘isolation, characterization, and purification of nutraceuticals’. Dr Ankit Saneja talked about ‘novel formulation approaches for augmenting the bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy of nutraceuticals’.
