The state government is committed to providing ample employment opportunities to the youth by developing their skills and educating them. This was stated by Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala after inaugurating a model skill centre at Government Engineering College at Panniwala Mota village of Sirsa district.

To offer 4 courses

  • The centre will provide training in four courses — assistant electrician, craft baker, warehouse packer and sampling tailor
  • Free meal will be offered to the trainees
  • In Phase I, 240 youth will be trained in various trades

Dushyant not only inspected the classrooms and laboratory but also held a detailed interaction with the centre executive.

Later while addressing the gathering, he said apart from education, skill development was must among the youth, which was vital for ensuring employment to them. He said the government had also set its eyes on generating employment through skill development.

The Deputy CM said the centre had been equipped with world-class facilities and would provide training in four courses — assistant electrician, craft baker, warehouse packer and sampling tailor. Besides this, free meal will be offered to the trainees here.

He said 240 youth would be trained in various trades in the first phase here.

He said not only the youth belonging to Sirsa but the entire state would be benefitted from this centre. He said such centres would be opened in each district of the state.

Dushyant also congratulated the team for establishing the centre in a short span of time and claimed that after the completing three-month course here, the youth would get maximum opportunities of employment and also start their own ventures.

He asserted that the main target was to make the youth skilled and ensuring employment to them, which would further strengthen the economy of the state.
