Hundreds of Bahujan Samaj Party (Ambedkar) workers, led by its president Devi Das Nahar, organised a protest rally against the state government here on Friday. They accused the government of not fulfilling the promises it made before the Assembly elections.
Nahar, while addressing the party workers, condemned the style of functioning of the state government under which “ the downtrodden had been facing police atrocities”.
“Nothing has been done to deal with unemployment. Educated jobless youths are under depression. The drug menace goes on unchecked. Corruption is at peak,” he said.
BSP party workers raised slogans against the ruling Congress and the state government.
