A deputation of the Nagar Council Teachers’ Union, Punjab, and the ETT Teachers’ Union, Punjab, today met ADC (G) Sumit Jarangal and submitted a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
The teachers stated that while the state government had merged the zila parishad schools with the state Education Department, no notice had been issued pertaining to the status of the nagar council teachers. ETT Teachers’ Union leader Gurmukh Singh Nathana said that they had planned to meet Deputy Commissioner Dr Basant Garg but had to meet the ADC as the DC was not available.
