IGP distributes health cards

BATHINDA: The Bathinda Range police, under the Tandarust Punjab Mission, have initiated a police health scheme and Bathinda Range IGP MF Farooqui on Thursday distributed health cards among police personnel from three districts — Bathinda, Muktsar and Mansa — at the police conference hall.

The Bathinda Range police, under the Tandarust Punjab Mission, have initiated a police health scheme and Bathinda Range IGP MF Farooqui on Thursday distributed health cards among police personnel from three districts — Bathinda, Muktsar and Mansa — at the police conference hall.

While talking to mediapersons, IGP MF Farooqui said during winter, police personnel work for 24 hours a day, due to which they fail to keep a check on their health and fall sick. Keeping this in mind, they have started this health scheme, he said.

Under this scheme, various hospitals, including Delhi Hospital, Max Hospital, Badyal Hospital, Jindal Heart and Baby Centre, have tied up with the police to give health services to police personnel at up to 50 per cent discount on surgery and general treatment.
