12 booked for attacking kin after molestation FIR

PANCHKULA: The police have booked 12 persons of Indira Colony slum in Sector 17 here for attacking a family after a molestation FIR.

The police have booked 12 persons of Indira Colony slum in Sector 17 here for attacking a family after a molestation FIR.

The police said two men were booked for molestation following arguments between two parties a few days ago. Manju and Pradeep Tiwari were arrested and bailed out.

On August 15, they along with others attacked Vijay Kumar’s family with stones and sticks as they were on victim’s side in the molestation case.

Four members of the family suffered injuries and reported the matter to the police.

The accused included Umesh, Mukesh, Dinesh, Divakar Tiwari, Pradeep Tiwari, Prem Shanker, Munna, Rahul, Monu, Loki, Bakhtawar and Toka.

Vijay Kumar said the accused were armed with sticks and swords. They first resorted to stone pelting and when the family members tried to escape, they were beaten up with sticks. A case has been registered. — TNS
