CHANDIGARH: The PGI organised a one-hour yoga demonstration session to celebrate the International Day of Yoga on Wednesday. The session was held from 7 am to 8 am at Zakir Hall at the PGI.

The PGI organised a one-hour yoga demonstration session to celebrate the International Day of Yoga on Wednesday. The session was held from 7 am to 8 am at Zakir Hall at the PGI. Prof Jagat Ram, Director, PGI, was the chief guest. He was accompanied by Dr Subhash Varma, Dean, PGI, and Amitabh Awasthi, IAS, Deputy Director (Admn), PGI. Around 200 participants attended the session. Yoga session was demonstrated by the trained instructor.  The Yoga Day was also organised at the National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), PGI, and over 200 students participated in the session. Various aasnas were performed by the students. — TNS
