Road accident victim succumbs to injuries

DERA BASSI (MUBARIKPUR):A man (48), who was injured in a road accident a few days ago, succumbed to his injuries today.

A man (48), who was injured in a road accident a few days ago, succumbed to his injuries today.

He had sustained injuries after his motorcycle was allegedly hit by a tractor-trolley on the Dera Bassi-Ramgarh road near Mubarikpur.

The deceased has been identified as Nirmal Singh, a resident of Housing Board, Ambala City. The police said the incident took place on August 6 when the victim was on his way back home. When he reached near Mubarikpur, a tractor-trolley allegedly hit motorcycle. 

He sustained injuries and was rushed to the GMCH-32, Chandigarh. The police said the victim was a retired Army man. 

Later, he was shifted to the Command Hospital, Chandimandir, where he succumbed to his injuries. His body was handed over to the family after conducting a post-mortem examination. 

The police have registered a case against the tractor-trolley driver.
