Youth arrested for stealing motorcycles

CHANDIGARH:A 20-year-old youth, a resident of Sector 41, has been arrested by the Chandigarh Police for allegedly stealing two-wheelers.

Chandigarh, February 18

A 20-year-old youth, a resident of Sector 41, has been arrested by the Chandigarh Police for allegedly stealing two-wheelers. The suspect used to reportedly steal motorcycles for joyrides. 

A special team constituted for the prevention and detection of crime, especially motor vehicle theft and snatching incidents, arrested the suspect, Sahil Thakur (20).

The police said Sahil was a school dropout and he stole bikes for joyrides. His father works as an accountant at the grain market.

The police said two Bullet motorcycles had been recovered from the suspect.

While one of the motorcycles was stolen from the parking lot at Palm Garden in Sector 42, the second one was stolen from the Sector 41 residential area.
