Man cheated of Rs 58L for MBBS seat

NEW DELHI:The Delhi Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for cheating a person of Rs 58 lakh on the pretext of providing admission to medical colleges.

The Delhi Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for cheating a person of Rs 58 lakh on the pretext of providing admission to medical colleges. 

Anubhav Marwah was arrested by the cyber team of the South Delhi police on June 8, said a senior police official.

The police said, Marwah contacted the victim, saying he would provide MBBS seat to his ward in Rajasthan, on May 27. 

The victim told the police that two men posed as members of the National Testing Agency. 

The accused demanded Rs 70 lakh from him. The complainant and his friends gave Rs 58 lakh to the accused, but, after receiving the money, the accused went missing and could not be contacted. A case has been registered.
