Braving continuous rain, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar held a roadshow in rural areas of the district and laid the foundation stone of several projects today.
He inspected the Hathnikund barrage on the state border with Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Soon afterwards, he reached Khizrabad and laid the foundation stone of a bus stand building there.
Khattar also addressed students, parents and residents of the area during the annual function of Virendra Mohan Geeta Vidhya Mandir in Khizrabad.
He said the government would develop a tourism corridor from Kalesar in Yamunanagar district to Kalka in Panchkula district, covering Kalesar, Aadibadri, Lohgarh, Kala Amb, Kalka and Morni.
He announced construction of a dam on the Pathrala river in Khillawalan village, metalling of a kutcha road from Khizrabad to Hathnikund barrage and renaming of Khizrabad as Pratap Nagar.
