Wrestler beaten to death in M’garh

MAHENDRAGARH: A wrestler, Sukhram (32), was bludgeoned to death by a group of assailants at his house in Nangal Dargu village of this district in the wee hours of Thursday.

A wrestler, Sukhram (32), was bludgeoned to death by a group of assailants at his house in Nangal Dargu village of this district in the wee hours of Thursday.

The assailants also caused injuries to Sukhram’s father Ram Avtar and mother Kamli Devi as they came to their son’s rescue. The injured couple has been admitted to the civil hospital in Narnaul.

Old enmity is stated to be the reason behind the attack.

The police have started investigation after registering a murder case against 10 residents of the village on the complaint of Ram Avtar.

The assailants entered the victims’ house around 3 am. The assailants assaulted Sukhram, who was sleeping, with wooden sticks. He died on the spot.

Karan Singh, incharge of Nizampur police post, said the accused would be nabbed soon while the investigation was on to find exact reason behind the crime.
