Rotary Club vows to make nation polio free

HAMIRPUR: The biggest service of the Rotary Club is its commitment to eradicate polio and for the last more than 30 years, the club has spent over Rs 18,000 crore on making the country polio free”, said Brijesh Singhal governor of the Rotary Club here on Sunday.

Brijesh said the club was providing a number of health facilities free of cost to weaker sections of society, including providing free limbs, free heart operations, etc. Chandan Bhardwaj, president of of the club, said it had proposed to set up a drug de-addiction centre here. — OC
