LPU students selected for world shooting meet

PHAGWARA: Two students of Lovely Professional University (LPU) Amanpreet Singh and Gurpreet Singh have been selected for the 52nd world shooting championship to be held in South Korea.

Two students of Lovely Professional University (LPU) Amanpreet Singh and Gurpreet Singh have been selected for the 52nd world shooting championship to be held in South Korea.

Both of them have been selected for senior pistol events (men), including ‘Rapid fire pistol’, ‘Standard’ and ‘Centre Fire’. The 16-day championship will conclude on September 15.

As many as 4,500 players will participate in the event. The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) will host the championship. The event will be held at Jinhae Naval Shooting Range in Changwon. As many as 708 medals will be awarded at the championship.

Congratulating the selected students, LPU chancellor Ashok Mittal said bring more laurels to the nation and university by giving your best performance.
