Music, dance contest at IKGPTU

JALANDHAR: The department of computer science and engineering of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University organised an open music and dance competition ‘Burnout’ yesterday.



Jalandhar, March 20

The department of computer science and engineering of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University organised an open music and dance competition ‘Burnout’ yesterday. Students from all departments of main campus participated in the event.

Students performed on various dance forms, including Bhangra, ‘Natti’, Bollywood songs and music forms like Sufi, Punjabi folk, Himachali folk songs and retro songs. The event was followed by an open DJ performance. Students danced to the tune of DJ.

Results: In dancing: The first, second and third prize were bagged by Prateek, Abhishek, Dheeraj (B Tech Computer Science Engg), Shivani Chandrana (BTech Electronic) and Communication Engg), and Shreyansh Kaushik (BTech Mechanical Engg), respectively.

In singing: The first, second and the third prizes were clinched by Anjlee (MSc Food Tech), Ramandeep Singh (BTech Electrical Engg) and Savleen Kaur (MSc Physics), respectively. — TNS
