LUDHIANA: A student of Green Land Convent School, Dugri, Sanjeed Singh, has brought fame to his school by winning top honours in the Punjab Schools Zonal Wrestling Competition.

A student of Green Land Convent School, Dugri, Sanjeed Singh, has brought fame to his school by winning top honours in the Punjab Schools Zonal Wrestling Competition.

He overpowered his opponents to annex the title in the 74-kg weight group in the Under-19 category in the zonal competition organised by the Education Department at Sacred Soul Convent School, Dhandra branch, yesterday.

His achievement was appreciated by the school authorities. Shabad Rudhra, president of chain of Green Land Schools and the branch Principal, Vimmi Thakur, congratulated Sanjeed on this outstanding achievement.

They advised students to emulate Sanjeed and take an active part in sports to bring glory to their parents, school as well as the state. Sanjeed was felicitated by the school authorities for his success.
