Why Mr. Jinnah Remained Behind

THAT Mr. Jinnah remained behind at the meeting, not because he did not feel the insult as keenly as Mr. Tilak and others did, but because his indignation was too great to allow him to depart without making his protest, has always been clear. It is now placed beyond the possibility of dispute by Mr. Jinnah himself. "He wanted to make it clear" said Mr. Jinnah at the protest meeting, "that so long as Lord Willingdon did not withdraw his insult they could not possibly attend meeting over which he was presiding."
