Ambala, January 19

Amid reports of alleged differences between Manohar Lal Khattar and Anil Vij over the control of the Criminal Investigation Department, the Home Minister received the Chief Minister at the Ambala Air Force station on Sunday.

Khattar and his Himachal Pradesh counterpart Jai Ram Thakur reached the Air Force station from Pinjore and took a plane for Delhi. Vij received them, exchanged pleasantries and held a brief discussion. He denied differences with the Chief Minister.

“There are no differences between us and we have good relations. He reached Ambala in his helicopter as he was scheduled to catch a plane to Delhi. As per protocol, I received him and we held a discussion for merely a couple of minutes, after which he left for Delhi,” Vij said.
