Haryana Govt to add 500 buses to its fleet

Employees to get bonus for previous years



Chandigarh, November 22

Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma held a meeting with the office-bearers of various employees’ unions of the Transport Department at Haryana Niwas on Monday.

Sharma listened to the demands put forth by the unions and assured them of early resolution.

The Transport Minister said to strengthen the Roadways Department, 809 buses had been procured recently and 500 more would be purchased, adding that the department was taking decisions in the interest of the employees.

He said the employees would now be given the bonus of previous years as well. He also issued directions to officials to fulfil the demand of uniform of the unions as soon as possible.

The Transport Minister further said most demands of the unions had been fulfilled from time to time and suggestions coming from the unions were also discussed and implemented. — TNS
