Ludhiana, February 16
Punjab Agricultural University’s (PAU) College of Community Science organised a grand event to mark Basant Utsav. Commemorating the strong cultural connect of Punjab, the faculty, staff and students created a vivacious atmosphere.
Donning a yellow turban, Chief Guest Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, PAU’s Vice-Chancellor, underscored the need for preserving and embracing cultural distinction that holds Punjab in high-esteem. Marking the hailing of spring and blossoming of mustard fields, Basant Utsav is a rich cultural legacy which must be carried forward by the youth, he said.
While expressing gratitude, College of Community Science Dean Dr Kiran Bains, said the celebration aimed at elevating cultural diversity and fostering camaraderie among students from diverse backgrounds. She applauded the efforts of the Organising Committee and the students of the college for putting up an impressive programme.
