Ludhiana: The sixth International Yoga Day was celebrated at Ryan International School, Ludhiana. A virtual yoga session was organised by the school in which students and teachers took part enthusiastically. The teachers and students performed various asanas under the guidance of school sports teachers. Students from various classes shared their photos and videos while performing asanas. On this occasion, principal Gurpal Anand told students about the importance and need of practicing yoga to stay fit and healthy.
BVM Kitchlu Nagar
Giving a hearty and healthy response to International Yoga Day by enriching all with good mental and physical health, BVM Kitchlu Nagar's staff, students and parents celebrated the day. Online competitions such as logo making, rythmic yoga and write ups on benefits of yoga were organised on the occasion.
DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road
Staff and students of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, celebrated International Yoga Day on Sunday. Amidst the Covid-19 crisis, the Physical Education Department of the school organised an online session on yoga. Rajesh Thakur, HoD, Sports, along with his team, used virtual platform to guide and revise yogic drills. School yoga instructor Naveen Sharma shared various benefits of practicing yoga regularly. The yogic drill included yogic jogging, several forms of pranayaama, tadasana, vriksasana, padahastasana, ardha chakrasana, trikonasana, bhujangasana, vakrasana and many more.
Father's Day celebrations
Students of BCM School, Basant City, celebrated Father's Day with great enthusiasm. They created gifts and cards for their father. Some students wrote poems. They shared their experience with other students and teachers also. TNS
