Mallikarjun Kharge to head Punjab Congress’s first workers’ convention in Samrala

Indian National Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge will be visiting Samrala on February 11 to head the Punjab Congress’s first-ever workers’ convention.

Indian National Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge will be visiting Samrala on February 11 to head the Punjab Congress’s first-ever workers’ convention.

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring said, “This is the first-ever worker’s convention that is being organised by the Punjab Congress as, till now, no other Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president was able to fill posts of the Punjab Congress up to booth level committees.”

The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) has reportedly prepared the state unit up to the booth level by making 2,145 mandal presidents and 24,570 mandal committee members, 289 block presidents and 8,959 block committee members, 29 district presidents and 2,675 district committee members. The PPCC chief holds a meeting with the district presidents on the second Tuesday of every month.
