Amritsar, March 14

Golden Jubilee Basant Bahar Flower and Plants Exhibition was inaugurated at Guru Nanak Dev University on Thursday. The exhibition aimed to motivate students towards nature, floriculture plantation. Different types of flowers, rangolis and stalls were put on display. Prof Sweta Shenoy head MYAS, formally inaugurated the show.

She appreciated the efforts of students and colleges. Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice- Chancellor, and other officials also were present. Professor Jaspal Singh Sandhu said, “We all need to respect and love nature. This type of effort needed to be promoted to connect youth with nature.”

He added in future more exhibitions would be organised in this field to associate youth with nature. Dr JS Bilga, horticulture consultant, said, “A large number of flower lovers from all over the state have participated in the exhibition and competition.”
