Sidhu brothers win medals

CHANDIGARH: Sidhu brothers Capt. GS Sidhu and PS Sidhu won four gold medals and one bronze medal in the 40th Punjab Athletics Masters Championship GS Sidhu won three gold medals in shotput, hammer throw and discus throw in the 85+ age group, whereas his younger brother PS Sidhu won gold in hammer throw and bronze in discus throw in the 75+ years age group.



Chandigarh:  Sidhu brothers Capt. GS Sidhu and PS Sidhu won four gold medals and one bronze medal in the 40th Punjab Athletics Masters Championship GS Sidhu won three gold medals in shotput, hammer throw and discus throw in the 85+ age group, whereas his younger brother PS Sidhu won gold in hammer throw and bronze in discus throw in the 75+ years age group. Both will be also participating in the 21st Asia Masters championship, in Kuching (Malaysia) from December 2 to 7.  TNS

State billiards from Nov 28 

Chandigarh:  Chandigarh Billiards Association will organise the 34th Sandeep Duggal Memorial Chandigarh Snooker and Billiards State Championship from November 28. The championship will be conducted in the senior (men), sub-junior, junior and senior (women) categories. The interested can submit their entries at the association’s office before November 27. TNS

Shikhar bags medals 

Patiala :  In a six-day long Punjab State Badminton Championship, recently held in Amritsar, Shikhar Rallan of class VIII had participated in U- 15 (singles) and men’s doubles categories. He bagged the gold medal in the doubles events and the silver medal in mixed doubles.  TNS
