Transport, Technical Education and Food and Civil Supplies Minister GS Bali today said certain lobbies were trying to create misunderstandings in the government by planting baseless stories in the media. One such story planted was that he had discussed Brackel power project issue with the Chief Minister which was far from the fact.

Bali said during the meeting with the Chief Minister, he had discussed the shortage of the officers, including RTOs, HAS officers, particularly the vacant post of the Director, Transport, as it was affecting the working of the Transport Department and affecting the revenue collection too.

Bali said 1000 mw Brackel power project issue was not in the agenda so there was no question discussing it.

Bali said, “We should create congenial atmosphere for investors.

He hoped that the state government should take all steps to make Himachal best for the investors which were the need of the hour.

He said 4,900 seats remained vacant in different technical institutes and now the date of admissions was extended to August 8, 2015.

He said he had directed the HRTC officers to find out the possibilities of connecting Dharamsala with Srinagar by Volvo service.
