PHAGWARA: Students of the Kamla Nehru College for Women performed well during the Taekwondo State Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar from October 12 to 16.

Students of the Kamla Nehru College for Women performed well during the Taekwondo State Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar from October 12 to 16. Ramandeep Kaur, Jyoti Punia and Gurpreet bagged a silver medal in the championship. College student Samriti bagged a bronze medal. College principal Dr Kiran Walia congratulated the winners on their arrival at the college. Meanwhile, the NCC wing of the college on Tuesday organised a seminar on eye donation. Colonel Kulwant Singh and Major Sujata of 8 PBN, Punjab Battalion NCC, Phagwara, delivered lectures at the seminar. They apprised the students of the importance of eye donation and highlighted the merits of the exercise. OC
