Janta Express suspended till Mar 15

Janta Express which runs between Dehradun and Varanasi has been cancelled till March 15. The decision to cancel the train was taken due to the construction of a washing line at the Varanasi railway station.

It may be recalled that the train was earlier cancelled for one month from December 17 and later the period was extended for another month due to fog.

It is worth mentioning that three trains, including Janta Express, Lahori Express, and Ujjain Express, were cancelled till February 28, but Janta Express was cancelled for another 15 days.

Passengers were facing the brunt due to the cancellation of trains as there was no substitute to reach the destination. — TNS
