Deputy Commissioner Dr Priyanka Soni, in her monthly press conference, said here on Saturday that the district administration has launched WhatsApp no. 99969-37500 for on-the-spot redressal of the grievances of the public.

Anyone can upload photos or other details of the problems faced by them and the officials of the department concerned will reach the spot and find a solution to the problem.

She also informed that ‘Vidyavahini’ bus service would be launched soon in the town for the benefit of girl students. She called upon residents of the district to get their family ID card ready to get the benefit of various government services as this card would be the basis to avail such services.

She said that ‘Meri Fasal, Mera Byora’ is an ambitious scheme of the government for farmers under which they can upload details of crops sown. This scheme will be beneficial for farmers, she said.

She said that 2,690 fresh BPL cards had been issued to the people in the district and would continue in the times to come.

The Deputy Commissioner urged citizens to contribute for the upkeep of ‘gaushalas’ though the government has been releasing funds liberally for this purpose.

She asked the Municipal Council staff to repair non-functional streetlights on all roads and also directed council and police department staff to remove illegal encroachments from roads for smooth flow of traffic.

District Elementary Education Officer Shamsher Sirohi told about the status of Saksham scheme in the district. CMO Dr Surendra Nain gave details about the facilities available to patients in the civil hospital.
