LUDHIANA: On the second day of the National Moot Court competition held at Panjab University Regional Center (PURC), budding advocates made their way into preliminary round of the competition.

On the second day of the National Moot Court competition held at Panjab University Regional Center (PURC), budding advocates made their way into preliminary round of the competition.

Senior advocates from the District and Sessions Court, Ludhiana, including Chaman Lal Vashisht, Mamta Wadhera, Sachin Arora, Hardyal Inder Grewal, Karan Verma, Ramanpreet Singh Sandhu, Vinay Sabharwal and Rajat Malhotra adjudged the preliminary round 1.

Advocates Deepinder Singh Gill, Sunil Tiwari, Mandeep Singh, Vikas Sharma, Dr Simranjeet Kaur, Dr Aditi Sharma, Dr Neelam Batra, Neelam Rani and Jaswinder Kaur adjudged the preliminary round 2.

Advocates Rajesh Kashyap, Jagdev Virk, Steven Soni, Sharvan Sehgal, SPS Kanda, Ankur Ghai and Vijaybharat Verma and Dr Shiv K Dogra adjudged the quarter final round.

After exceptional display of advocacy skills, eight teams qualified for the quarter final round. The judges were deeply impressed with performance of the participants from different law institutions.

Under the guidance of Prof Ravi Inder Singh, Director, PURC, the second day of National Moot Court event was concluded successfully.

The semi-final and final rounds would be held on Sunday followed by the valedictory function which would be graced by Justice Gurbir Singh.
