Delhi doctor booked for raping FB friend

A private doctor from Delhi has been booked for allegedly raping his counterpart from Ambala.

The police said the complainant had reported to the police that Navneet Magon, a Delhi-based private doctor, had sent her a friend request on Facebook in October 2017, which she accepted.

“He also took my phone number and when I went to attend a meeting in Patiala recently, the accused, who was also present there, raped me,” she alleged, while adding the accused later apologised and even followed her back home. When she refused to forgive him, he threatened her with dire consequences.

The police have registered a case. — TNS
