PRAYAGRAJ: Braving winter chill, around two crore pilgrims took a holy dip on the opening day of Kumbh Mela at the Sangam, Prayagraj, on Tuesday.
Sadhus and heads of 13 akharas came out in grand processions for first ‘Shahi Snan’ on Makar Sankranti. The mela will culminate on March 4.
