The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) cancelled the English exam of Class X at a centre after the paper was leaked at Chatehra village of Gohana subdivision today. Yesterday, the Hindi paper of Class XII was leaked at Bhawar village of Gohana area.
The special task force (STF) team of the board reached the centres and initiated action. The centre staff of Bhawar village centre has been removed on the directions of the HBSE Chairman and a criminal case has been registered against the student and staff members.
The board received information that the English paper had been “sent out” by a student at the Government High School centre at Chatehra village.
Following the information, the board team reached the centre and nabbed the student. The exam was cancelled at the centre.
Meanwhile, the Baroda police have registered a case against the student, centre superintendent and supervisors for allegedly “releasing” the Hindi paper of Class XII from the centre at Bhawar village.
In a complaint to the police, Rakesh Kumari, Superintendent in STF-2 of the HBSE, said she received information about the Hindi paper having been leaked from the centre at Bhawar. She, along with the team, reached the centre and found out that a girl student had leaked the photo of the question paper taken with a mobile phone. However, she did not disclose the name of the person who took the photograph.
Following the complaint of the STF-2 team, the police registered a case against the centre superintendent, supervisor, two observers, the student and an unknown person under Sections 420, 120B and 188, IPC.
